Inscribed! Macao’s Heritage now features on World Heritage List
   
  The 29th Session of the World Heritage Committee has agreed to inscribe “The Historic Monuments of Macao”, with the official title altered to “The Historic Centre of Macao”, on UNESCO’s prestigious World Heritage List, under the terms of the Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage (“World Heritage Convention”).

The Historic Centre of Macao was inscribed on the World Heritage List on 15 July 2005 on the basis of Criteria (ii), (iii), (iv) and (vi), making it the 31st designated World Heritage site in China.
