1. Mong Ha Hill

Heritage Information

Classified as a place of interest, Mong Ha Hill, popularly named “Black Ghost Hill”, rises 60.7 m above sea level. It used to be called the “Lotus Hill” because the shape of the hill is like a lotus flower. Since Mong Ha Village was located to the south of the hill, it was also known as “Mong Ha Hill”. The Portuguese in Macau built the Fortress in 1849 (in the 29th year of the reign of Emperor Dao Guang, Qing dynasty). The hill is flanked north and south respectively by the ancient temples of Lin Fong and Kun Iam Ku.
