Journey to the Ends of the World: Michele Ruggieri and Jesuits in China Exhibition opens on Wednesday   29/11/2012   Instituto Cultural
Jointly organised by the Macao Museum, under the direction of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao S.A.R. Government, and the National Archives of Rome, the exhibition Journey to the Ends of the World: Michele Ruggieri and Jesuits in China opened in the Museum’s lobby at 5:00pm on Wednesday 28th November. The exhibition - a project enlisted in the China-European Union Year of Intercultural Dialogue is organised by the Ministry of Culture. The exhibition is open to the public from 29th November 2012 to 3rd March 2013.

Once the summer vacation starts, quite a lot of parents will take their kids to travel, leading to an increase in the number of individual travelers. For the convenience of citizens and visitors, the Macao Museum is going to have a trial to open 30 minutes earlier from 31st July to 7th October in this summer. The opening hour will be changed from 10:00 to 09:30.
Historical Archives of Macao celebrates
China Cultural Heritage Day and International Archives Day

The Historical Archives of Macao of the Cultural Affairs Bureau is holding a series of activities from June 9 (this Saturday) to celebrate the China Cultural Heritage Day and International Archives Day. Members of the public are welcome to participate. The activities include an archival exhibition titled "Witness to Macao History – Chan Tai Pak’s Recollections of over Half a Century", thematic lectures, a workshop on record preservation and conservation and a workshop on oral history.

The 9th of June, 2012, marks the 7th annual China Cultural Heritage Day. In observance of the auspicious occasion, the Cultural Affairs Bureau is offering a series of diverse activities including themed shows, workshops, a poster exhibition, concerts, lectures, folk arts demonstrations, special docent services and free admission to various attractions and exhibition venues. In organising these delightful activities, the Cultural Affairs Bureau continues its ongoing effort to raise awareness of conservation and cultural heritage among the general public.
Cultural Affairs Bureau to Install Signposts for Cultural Sites in Mong Ha District   28/05/2012   Instituto Cultural
The cultural heritage of Macao's Mong Ha District is abundant and evident throughout the area. To better explain the history and value of this district's cultural sites and to assist tourists with directions and navigation, the Cultural Affairs Bureau has completed a preliminary installation of informative signposts. Currently, 13 locations of historical and cultural value are marked with the new signposts.
