How to copy words and images
You can use Adobe Acrobat Reader
(if you do not have Adobe Arcobat Reader, you can download it at
http://www.adobe.com) to extract text and images from the Adobe
PDF documents and copy them to a document created by another application.
While in Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0, you can click on the menu options Tools →
Basic → Select for selecting any items on
the pages.
Steps:
To copy part of text:
1. click on the menu option Tools → Basic → Select

2. Select the text in the PDF document (picture

3. Then use the Copy and Paste option in the
Edit menu for transferring the text to another document (pictures 3 and
4).

To copy entire text:
1. select Save as Text from the File menu (picture 5).

2. When the “Save As” pop up windows appears, type the
file name and save the content as a text file (see pictures 6 and 7)

Note to Macintosh users: if the
content contains special Hong Kong characters, please use Preview to
open the PDF file (for Mac OS/X only) and copy the text to other
document. Mac OS 9 does not support Hong Kong special characters.
To copy images:
1. click on Basic → Select
on the Tools menu (picture 8)

2. Select the desired image in the PDF document
(picture 9)

3. Use Copy and Paste options on the Edit menu to
transfer the selected image to another document. (pictures 9 and 10)
